NC-Certified Septic Inspections

Apex is one of the fastest-growing real estate markets in Wake County, and a delayed septic inspection can throw off a closing on short notice. When your property is under contract, you need a licensed inspector who responds quickly, delivers a clear and defensible report, and can handle follow-up repairs without sending you to a different contractor.

Stephen Holland holds an NC-Licensed Septic Inspector credential alongside a Grade IV Installer certification. For buyers, sellers, and real estate agents across Apex and the surrounding Triangle area, that combination means faster turnaround and no surprises when it matters most.

Septic Tank Repair

Apex's rapid residential growth means a wide range of homes — from older lots near downtown to newer construction on the western edge of town — each with different septic system histories and soil conditions. When something goes wrong, you need a contractor who knows how to assess the full picture rather than patch the obvious symptom.

Holland Septic Services handles the complete range of repairs: distribution box replacements, pump and panel replacements, tank replacements, and drain line fixes — with a Grade IV Installer on every job. Whether you're in an established neighborhood near Salem Street or a newer community off NC 55, you get a repair that's done right the first time.

Drain Line Jetting

On larger Apex lots with longer drain line runs, buildup and root intrusion can quietly restrict flow well before you notice a problem inside the house. Slow drains and gurgling fixtures are easy to dismiss — until they become an emergency before a home inspection.

Holland Septic Services uses high-pressure jetting to clear blockages thoroughly and without guesswork. It's one of the most cost-effective ways to restore proper flow and extend the life of your drain lines before a full replacement becomes necessary.

Apex's Rich History

Apex earned its name from geography. The town's depot, built around 1867, sat at the highest elevation point on the old Chatham Railroad — and the name stuck. The town was officially incorporated in 1873, and by the early 1900s it had grown into an active trading center, with the first tobacco auction market in Wake County opening here in 1905.

Downtown Apex was designated a National Register Historic District in 1994, recognized as one of the most intact turn-of-the-century railroad towns in North Carolina. More than 60 commercial and residential structures dating from the 1870s through the 1940s still line Salem and Hughes Streets today. The arrival of Research Triangle Park in the 1960s set the stage for the growth that followed, and Money Magazine named Apex the number one best place to live in America in 2015.

Neighborhoods and Streets

Apex offers a range of neighborhoods that give residents real choices — from walkable historic streets to newer master-planned communities on the town's expanding western edge.

  • Historic Downtown Apex anchors Salem and Hughes Streets with locally owned shops, restaurants, and the restored Apex Union Depot, now home to the Chamber of Commerce and listed on the National Register of Historic Places
  • Bella Casa and Scotts Mill are well-established neighborhoods known for their community amenities, tree-lined streets, and easy access to top-rated Wake County schools
  • Jordan Pointe and Stillwater represent newer construction on the western side of town, drawing families looking for modern homes with room to grow
  • The Park at West Lake is a master-planned community with resort-style amenities, scenic natural surroundings, and some of the area's most recent residential development

Community and Lifestyle

Apex public schools are part of the Wake County Public School System, consistently one of the highest-rated districts in North Carolina. Apex High School and Apex Friendship High School together serve more than 4,000 students, and the town's strong school reputation is a major draw for families relocating from across the Triangle.

The Halle Cultural Arts Center — a renovated former Town Hall — hosts performances, art exhibitions, and community events year-round. Outdoor recreation options include the American Tobacco Trail, the Beaver Creek Greenway, and a growing network of community parks that connect neighborhoods across town.
